Perchcast

Put the file in a folder, run it, and browse that folder from your browser. Images and videos get thumbnails and a fullscreen viewer, everything else gets a download button.

python3 media-server.py [directory] [port]

It serves the current directory on port 2346 by default. It listens on all interfaces, so other machines on your network can open it too. Fonts and icons come from Google Fonts and unpkg, so the browser needs internet access for those.

Building

The single file is generated from src/:

python3 build.py

That writes dist/media-server.py, standard library only. Port, page size and file extensions are in src/config.py, the page itself (html, css, js) is in src/templates/.
